Job  Description
Capital Hill Area - Manages, organizes and directs the daily operations of all assigned direct or matrix ancillary services teams within the medical center. Oversees the care and delivery of service provided ensuring that they meet or exceed clinical quality and safety standards. Works in collaboration with medical center and service line managers to assure quality outcomes, manage access, and implement reliable clinical processes and procedures.

This job will manage and oversee the Breast Imaging program so experience and ARRT certification in Mammography is necessary.

Education
Minimum Education Requirements
Some College Some College, as required to achieve specified licensure or certification OR Bachelors’ degree in healthcare

Preferred Education
Bachelors Degree Clinical discipline

Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements
Intermediate Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to direct the activities of others on a direct or matrix team basis. Ability to collaborate and be influential across various roles and service areas. Ability to recruit, mentor, develop and engage staff, monitor performance standards, deliver results, and hold staff accountable. Strong communication, collaboration and change management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to effectively anticipate, resolve and respond to issues as they arise. Knowledge of ancillary services regulatory and/or health care requirements. Financial management skills.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills
With the assistance of a breast imaging supervisor, this position oversees the breast imaging program for Kaiser Permanente Washington, managing 30+ staff in 6 locations.  Travel will be required.
 
Experience
Minimum Experience Requirements
3 years experience as a clinician in an ancillary service, OR 4 years in care delivery operations
2 years 2 years in a leadership role, managing the day-to day operations, performance of staff and workflow – may be concurrent with above

Preferred Experience
3 years experience as a technologist in breast imaging, to include 1-2 years experience in a leadership role, managing the day-to day operations, performance of staff and work flow.

 
 
License/Certifications
Minimum License/Certifications Requirements
At time of hire One of the following: (a) Medical Technologist (ASCP) or equivalent licensure (MLS/CLS). (b) WA State Radiology Technologist license + ARRT registration. (c) WA State Pharmacy Technician license. (d) Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Licensed Dispensing Optician. (e) American Speech Language and Hearing Association Certification; WA State DOH license in Speech Pathology. (f) WA State DOH license in Physical or Occupational Therapy (g) HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP), (h) Current Washington State Registered Nurse License. Bachelors’ degree is an alternative to any of the specified licenses or certifications

Preferred License/Certifications
WA State Radiologic Technologist license + certification in Radiography RT (R), Mammography (M) preferred. CRA Preferred
