Maintenance 1st & 2nd Shift

Location: Mason, OH
General Function: Responsible for the maintenance of all production presses & equipment.

Shifts Available:
  • 1st Shift: 6am - 2:30pm
  • 2nd Shift: 3:30pm-Midnight (.50¢ shift bonus)

Job Duties :
  • Troubleshooting electrical systems using ladder logic, electrical prints and/or schematics, knowledge of 3-phase electricity
  • Proficient in programming PLC’s (500, 504, 505, 1000, 1500)
  • Working knowledge of robot and robot controls; Fanuc, ABB, OTC & Miller
  • Capable of working with and troubleshooting machines controlled by relay logic
  • Capable of troubleshooting motor drives
  • Diagnoses problems and/or failures and repairs a variety of equipment (Presses, machines, etc.)
  • Responsible for identifying equipment problems and for repairing of equipment to the best of their ability in order to maintain production.
  • Evaluate equipment problems and determine the most expedient short term and long term solutions.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functions of required tools and equipment.
  • Maintains tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.
  • Determining work priorities collectively based on available information.
  • Self-motivated to start and/or complete work orders, safety items & other projects as assigned.
  • Electric safety inspection and repair of 110/220/480 volt.
  • Welding and fabricating.
  • All other duties assigned by Manager and Team Leader.

Working Conditions: Plant environment; working in and out of presses, in press pits, high lift and working on a ladder. Capable of working off the ground with height variances as well as working in confined spaces.
Physical Component(s ): Standing and walking up to 100% of work time; pushing, pulling, bending, reaching and some stooping.
Education/Experience: High school diploma and must be willing to continue education in the maintenance field; electrical, hydraulics, mechanical, electrical arc flash, schematics, blueprint, etc. training and classes. Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic press systems and programmable controls. Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics for the purpose of troubleshooting and repair. Knowledgeable and capable of working with basic electric 110/220/480 volt. Basic welding and fabrication needed.

Other Requirements:
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Strong background in Electrical Controls, Electrical Blueprints, Electric Motors & Controls Troubleshooting and Mechanical repair.
  • Observe and enforce all safety rules and regulations, wear proper safety equipment; safety glasses, hearing protection, leather work shoes/boot, cotton clothing.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and promote that attitude throughout the team.
  • Must be available for overtime as needed to maintain production.
  • Coordinates with the administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
  • Own and use basic tools.
Must pass a pre-employment physical to include hearing & vision testing and alcohol/drug screen test.
