Production Manager

The Role
  • Manage and lead operational strategies and objectives by leading the operational team through organizing, directing, controlling and leading, to ensure the achievement of St Albans operational goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage production resources to deliver short, medium, and long-term production goal by use of operational team and support functions.
  • Initiate and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the operational excellence of efficiency, quality, cost and safety.
  • Responsible for employee safety as well as food safety.
  • Manage and report on departmental financial budgets, explaining variances and drive cost saving initiatives.
  • Manage and motivate all reporting staff in order to obtain highest performance.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement programs and initiatives to reduce cost and improve production output with sustained programs.
  • Foster learning and development for all direct reports; actively coach to provide support and challenges.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
  • 2+ years of Production Manager experience (Required)
  • 5+ years of supervision (Desired)
  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience (Preferred)
  • 3+ years of food manufacturing experience (Desired)
  • Speaks out confidently to raise issues or respond to challenges and criticism as well as argues a case by providing clear explanation and concrete examples.
  • Financially savvy by making decisions or setting priorities based on anticipated profit/ROI.
