Payroll Manager

Location: Cary, NC
The Payroll Manager is primarily responsible for the company’s weekly and bi-weekly payroll completion and preparing related local, state, and federal tax and other compliance reporting. This position is responsible for compliance with other applicable laws and procedures.

  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with payroll tax reporting and withholding responsibilities.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to all employees
  • Support the home and branch office teams as needed
  • Prepare weekly and biweekly payrolls
  • Remit payroll withholding on a daily or weekly basis
  • Prepare payroll tax returns for CPA review
  • Work with HR to setup withholdings and garnishments

The Payroll Manager will possess the following qualities, qualifications, and skills:
  • Must possess a desire to help the team when called and when needed
  • Must possess a high degree of confidentiality and discretion and data security
  • Associates degree in accounting and five (5) years related experience in business accounting with some exposure to HR and at least four (4) years of practical experience in payroll tax compliance for large multi-state businesses.
  • Must be a tactical thinking, results-oriented team player with sound understanding of business protocol
  • Bilingual – Spanish preferred but not required

This position is located in Cary, North Carolina - telecommuting is not available for this position
