Quality Assurance Nurse (RN)

Location: Lancaster, PA
The Quality Assurance (QA) Nurse is responsible for ensuring that the facility is consistently monitoring and improving on service, practices and procedures. The Quality Assurance Nurse will partner with the Administrator and Nursing Management team to identify all practices in the facility which need improvement or development and will continue to address and resolve all Quality Assurance matters as necessary.

Quality Assurance (QA) Nurse Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute annual Quality Assurance plan according to State, Federal, and facility regulations and standards
  • Identify trends and best practices, and recommend enhancements to processes or standards to ensure top quality services in the facility
  • Implement processes to monitor and evaluate safety, risk management, infection control, competency programs and employee and resident satisfaction
  • Identify staff needs in regards to skills and specialty areas and arrange training programs
  • Review policy and procedures and other written materials annually
  • Assist in the composition and fulfillment of the facility’s in-service education plan
  • Collaborate with clinical managers to ensure that documentation is complete, accurate, and reflects care delivery and legal requirements
  • Track progress and remediation of Plan of Correction (POC) and Performance Improvement (PI)
  • Execute compliance audits or projects to investigate external audit results or assist offices who are executing a POC as part of an external survey
  • Review all reports of complaints, incidents, and grievances to ensure appropriate response and resolve is delivered in a timely manner
  • Coordinate programs for risk management that identifies written guidelines and policies and procedures for facility staff to follow
  • Review all incident reports to assure they are complete and accurate
  • Performs other related job duties as required

Quality Assurance (QA) Nurse Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse License in the State of Pennsylvania
  • 3 years of clinical Registered Nurse experience
  • Two years of experience in Long-term care
  • Excellent knowledge of computerized documentation, medication administration and Medicare regulations
  • BSN preferred
