Plant Supervisor

Location: Fresno, CA
Job Summary
The Plant Supervisor is responsible for the execution of plant operations, supervision & training of plant employees, and administration of company policy as well as ensuring equipment, buildings, and grounds are sanitary and in good repair.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Maintain efficient and timely production of all raw materials received into high-quality finished products.
  • Monitors plant employees, their performance to maintain high standards.
  • Monitors, maintains Operators efficiencies, and has the ability to operate all Cooking Systems independently (Start-up & Shutdown)
  • Coordinates loading of all finished product, and can independently conduct load out of all containers and vessels, monitor stabilizers and chemical inventory
  • Coordinates processing of Grease/Oil operations
  • Monitors Waste Water Operations
  • Controls Air Scrubber Operations, air & water flow, chemical additives, and compliance with air permits
  • Monitors Boiler Operations & Water Treatment; strict adherence to procedures
  • Coordinates all laboratory testing of finished product; can independently perform all lab testing and evaluation
  • Enforces and adheres to the Safety & Environmental Program, reviews HAACP documentation, GMPs, Accident Investigation & Training
  • Work with maintenance on breakdowns and projects.
  • Develops goals in conjunction with the Plant Manager to improve plant operations in all areas.
  • Determines the reason for any loss of quality or production efficiency and eliminates it before the next production period.
  • Submits Daily Production and Energy Reports.
  • All other duties as assigned. Shift to be discussed.

  • Detail oriented; highly organized.
  • Must have a strong desire to excel with an emphasis placed on teaching skills necessary for others to do the same.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-starter; self-motivated.
  • Strong mechanical background with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Good math and computer skills.
  • “Hands-on” manager with knowledge in production equipment, boilers, wastewater and air treatment.

Education/Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-year Supervisory Experience.
  • 2 Years Mechanical Experience Preferred.
  • Occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
  • Regularly required reach with hands and arms. Work Environment
