Data Operations Manager

Location: Santa Monica, CA
The ideal candidate will have worked as a database analyst and built a small team within a company managing disparate sets of data. Preference will be given to those with Pharmacy Benefits Manager experience and a deep understanding of the pricing mechanics used to determine prices for prescription drugs.

  • Work with Operations Director on developing a charter for GoodRx’s pricing group that includes areas of responsibility and a hiring plan
  • Be the owner of the disparate data set we receive from our network partners
  • Develop strategies to ensure accurate prices are being shown on our website
  • Establish baselines for measuring, monitoring, and reporting on pricing accuracy
  • Work directly with network partners to ensure consistency around delivery of pricing information either via API or file transfer
  • Work with network partners to improve our access to real-time claims data to help with individual pricing checks and customer service
  • Work with product and engineering to establish new tools and resources available to our internal team to provide macro (for optimization) and micro (for customer support) pricing analysis
  • Identify revenue opportunities through collaboration with business development and analytics teams
  • Work with data team to help provide ongoing pricing reporting and analysis to key business stakeholders (pricing optimization, network discussions, new product initiatives)
  • Be a leader: establish a positive and productive team environment, organize team outings, events, lunches
  • Be consistently excited about saving millions of users on their drugs by providing accurate prices

Skills & Requirements:
  • 5+ years’ experience working, managing, and analyzing large external data sets
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Low-ego and wickedly smart
  • Excellent communication skills; able to present to senior management with ease and proficiency
  • Formidable problem-solving skills; ability to understand complex situations and drive to a meaningful outcomes
  • Ability to collaborate and partner, work along with multiple departments and disciplines; proactive and solution focused.
  • General computer proficiency and Excel skills expected; skills with SQL a bonus
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and operational requirements from multiple partners
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills

Good to Have:
  • Experience working and managing PBM and retail network pricing data
  • Extensive knowledge of PBM pricing mechanics, retail pharmacy pricing, and PBM / retail pharmacy contract terms
  • Deep understanding of multiple pricing structures including AWP, WAC, U&C, ACQ
  • Familiarity with Medispan and First Data Bank's drug databases
