Our new associate will be a hard-working team player responsible for all aspects of a client's case. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, bright, and with above-average written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must be able to convey complex theories in a way that the layman can quickly understand. Position includes frequent meetings with clients and other counsel, finalizing simple pleadings drafted by paralegals; drafting advanced pleadings, preparing for and attending court hearings, attending mediations and status conferences, and willing and able to prepare for and handle probate and superior court hearings/trials.

Other requirements include the following:
  • Must be a good standing member of the Connecticut Bar
  • 3+ years’ experience in Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration
  • Experience in residential Real Estate a plus
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience managing a full caseload

Skills and experience are required, appreciated, and valued, but personality, character, intelligence, and integrity will be paramount considerations. High-maintenance, humorless, self-entitled, or self-important individuals will not succeed in this position and need not apply.
