Inside Sales Representative - Educational Travel Sales (International)

Location: North Quincy, MA
Position Summary:
We are actively seeking driven, motivated inside sales professionals for our International Program Consultant (IPC) role. By developing relationships with educators to promote our programs, the IPC opens doors to a once in a lifetime international travel experience for junior high or high school students. In this full-time inside sales position, the successful IPC will develop new business through direct communication with teachers, guiding teachers through the stages to successfully set up and offer these life changing opportunities.

  • Ability to make 60+ cold calls daily
  • Solicits new clients and accounts to meet and exceed goals by making cold calls, direct sales calls and following up and converting potential sales leads.
  • Establishes and maintains regular contact with clients and accounts in order to introduce and promote a destination or tour in accordance with company goals, marketing initiatives and sales expectations.
  • Calls on prospects to solicit business to create a strong pipeline of future business leads
  • Responsible for spending sufficient call time to ensure a robust sales funnel of leads and prospects to achieve or exceed established sales goals.
  • Ensure established sales goals are met or exceeded
  • Manages and takes responsibility for the entire sales process.
  • Works with teachers to set enrollment deadlines for students, and helps develop marketing strategies for the teachers to utilize while enrolling students.
  • Actively seeks continuous skill development and improvement to build performance.
  • Comprehends the student travel industry with interest to learn more regarding our competition as it compares to Explorica business models

  • A bachelor degree preferred
  • 1+ years outbound cold calling
  • 1+ years progressive sales experience focusing on new business acquisition, preferably in the student travel industry
  • Previous phone sales experience preferred
  • Experience with basic computing functions, including MS Office and CRM applications.
  • Enjoy talking on the phone
  • International travel experience preferred
  • Some seasonal evening/weekend work required.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, coach and direct others to achieve desired outcomes
  • Ability to excel both individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to balance multiple, competing priorities in a fast paced work environment
  • Willingness to learn and accept coaching to apply proven sales strategies
  • Proficient computer skills and the ability to learn new software products a must
