Regional Director (Construction)

Position Responsibilities:
The regional director will be responsible for the Northeast Ohio's building construction operations (education, healthcare, industrial, mission critical). This person will serve as the primary liaison between the market channel leaders and their regional operations resources, overseeing safety, sales, project execution, client/partner relationships, and talent management.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
  • Supporting the building market channel leaders in the preparation and execution of their respective business plans at the regional level
  • Preparing for the annual planning process, review meetings, and forecast updates
  • Collaborating with business development on pipeline updates and sales activitiesProviding oversight of project planning, preconstruction, construction, and closeout
  • Maintaining a culture of fair and ethical treatment of all project participants, especially that of suppliers and subcontractors during purchasing
  • Reinforcing operational project controls and quality control
  • Reviewing and monitoring projects to ensure profitability
  • Interfacing with local authorities to ensure compliance with codes and regulations
  • Supporting in dispute resolutions and claims situations
  • Engaging in labor relations activities and issues
  • Mentoring and developing junior staff
  • Enhancing Shook's presence in the community via attendance at and participation in key community events and initiatives

Education and Experience
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, construction management, or business administration
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience within the construction industry
