2nd Shift Logistics Supervisor

Position Overview:
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the operations of a Distribution Center to ensure current and future financial success, business growth, and administration. Responsibility for all staff, Independent Contractors, facilities and equipment in or associated with the operations. Responsible for the service level, performance and integrity to exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the existing account base; especially major accounts
  • Responsible for the Operations and Service Level of the operations
  • Responsible for managing operations to budget
  • Responsible for the timely administration of all reporting to the corporate office
  • Responsible for the scheduling and supervision of the staff at the Distribution Center
  • Ability to tailor communication (both written and verbal) according to the appropriate audience
  • Demonstrate leadership through work ethic and commitment
  • Manage all staff directly or through supervision
  • Manage the current business model and strategize to optimally compete in the marketplace
  • Manage the Business and Staff Ethically and by JWL standards
  • All other duties as assigned by Manager

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in related field
  • Ability to work 2nd shift (2:00-10:00PM, Rotating schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off)
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel
  • Demonstrate ability to manage and grow business
  • Demonstrate ability to manage and lead people
  • Demonstrate account management ability
  • Ability to manage in a multitask role
  • Working understanding of a transactional or dedicated transportation model
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency composing written communication, proofreading, and editing
  • Resourceful, well-organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail-oriented
  • Ability to exercise initiative, good judgment, time management and problem-solving skills
