Technology Support Specialist

Location: Dayton, OH
The Technology Support Specialist role is responsible for the discovery, procurement, configuration, deployment & ongoing support of all end user technology devices. The role will serve as the first tier support function for all end users throughout the organization. Additionally, the role will provide support services around the accessibility of all corporate software applications.

Reporting Relationships:
  • Position reports to: Director of Technology
  • Position indirectly mentors under: Network Administrator

Primary Duties:
  • End User Discovery - Manage the process for assessing the technology requirements of all end users including new & existing.
  • New User Orientation - Develop, implement & manage all aspects of new user orientation relating to all technology devices, applications, processes & procedures.
  • Documentation - Develop departmental documentation that accurately reflects internal processes & procedures.
  • Application Commissioning - Install, configure & test various corporate applications for end user use.
  • Application Support - Provide first tier application support services around proper application-specific processes & procedures.
  • License Administration - Manage all aspects of corporate licensing including alignment, renewals & auditing.

Additional Duties:
  • MFC Management - Manage all aspects of multifunction copier fleet including deployment, end user access, contracts, partner relationships & decommissioning.
  • Mobile Communications Administration - Manage all aspects of the mobile communications environment including discovery, procurement, configuration, management & support.
  • Remote Site Support - Assist in the commissioning & decommissioning of all remote sites throughout the organization's operating areas.
  • Special Project Support - Assist in the discovery, design & deployment efforts of special projects across the organization.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in technology.

Language Skills
  • Strong written & verbal communications skills across all levels of the organization.

Special Skills
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft operating systems & Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong problem-solving nature with sound judgment & tolerance for a high pressure, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to think creatively when approaching problem resolution but ultimately decisive & able to execute solutions quickly.
