Team Overview
The Global Accounting & Performance team (‘GAP’) provides accounting and performance measurement services to clients across the financial services spectrum, from funds through to separate accounts, where a shadow accounting service is performed, and outsourced financial accounting for insurance clients.
This role is part of the Investment Accounting Services (‘AS’) team within GAP, responsible for delivering outsourced financial accounting services to insurance companies who are generally clients of BlackRock Solutions.   The Investment Accounting business is currently embarked on a strategic upgrade of the accounting and operational platform, including end-client delivery, and full integration with the latest Aladdin tools. The business is also actively looking for ways to extend the current service offering and develop detailed understanding and requirements for complex/new asset classes.
Key responsibilities of Accounting Services include:  business development to identify new clients; implementation and project management to onboard new clients and support client requests; senior relationship management to maintain effective interaction with clients; oversight of regulatory and accounting pronouncements to ensure compliance, and identification of process improvements to enhance the overall service offering.  
Role Responsibility
The Role Responsibilities:
• Management of client onboarding/implementation process
o Perform business process review with clients to understand current accounting and reporting requirements
o Coordinate with clients to collect information required to establish the portfolios and positions on the accounting platform
o Maintain detailed project plan and coordinate across internal stakeholders to execute tasks
o Provide regular status updates to clients and internal teams
o Review reconciliations and reporting to validate accounting data throughout the implementation process
o Ensure adequate controls, procedures, and processes are in place and followed
o Leverage technology to provide improved service to clients
o Coordinate sign off with clients and transition responsibility to production team
• Management of Client Relationships
o Maintain regular communication with clients to discuss overall relationship, new initiatives, etc.
o Assist clients in various ad hoc analysis and provide input relating to the handling of accounting pronouncements and reporting requirements
Experience Required:
The role holder is an accounting or implementation professional with strong institutional knowledge and experience in accounting and financial reporting across multiple accounting basis (GAAP, STAT, IFRS, etc.). 
• BS degree in Finance or Accounting
• 4+ years of related work experience preferred
• Knowledge of Insurance and disclosure reporting as it relates to investments
• Understanding of various investment types – including fixed income, derivatives, alternatives, etc.
• Strong and effective communication skills to deal directly with clients and across all levels of staff and management
• Ability to prioritize assignments without losing sight of overall objectives and deadlines and time management skills
• Strong decision making skills to make well thought out decisions based on information provided
• Strong attention to detail and project management skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products
