This facility is a state of the art 190,000 square foot building encompassing 20 plus multi-specialty services, including a 24/7 urgent care, outpatient surgery center,  and sophisticated outpatient diagnostic and treatment services.

Urgent Care/Observation Unit Manager

Take the next step in your career with this opportunity as an Urgent Care Manager.  This position is an integral part of the Bellevue Medical Center leadership team and report to the Regional Operations Manager for Kaiser Permanente of Washington. 

Our Urgent Care operates 24/7, mirroring an emergency setting, with 20 beds and over 37,000 annual visits. Our nurses have ICU / Emergency Room background and have a 4:1 patient ratio for taking care of patients ranging from acute MI, sepsis, cardiac arrhythmia's, and all other urgent and critical conditions.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager for our Urgent Care (24/7 department) at our Bellevue Medical Center.  A successful candidate will have the leadership qualities and creativity necessary to drive innovation forward in a fast paced work environment.  

Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Provide facilities planning, fiscal oversight, administration of nursing services and consumer service and quality of care.
  • Develop, assess, and improve service plans in order to exceed customer expectations and organizational objectives.
  • Develop and interpret financial, utilization and service quality reports and provide creative leadership utilizing current and projected data to facilitate decision making.
  • Recruit, hire, orient, lead, manage, develop, and discipline employees when necessary. Prepare and present performance evaluations.
  • Build effective communication systems to support the clear flow of information across multiple service locations.
Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Nursing

Preferred Education
Masters Degree in Nursing, Business Administration or Health Administration.
Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements
Intermediate Healthcare delivery administration, customer relations, quality management and team facilitation skills.
Intermediate:  Leadership, communication, interpersonal, customer service, and analytical skills. Understanding of financial principles. Proficiency with computer applications and related technology.  Ability to work effectively with a diverse client base and staff.
Minimum Experience Requirements
5 years Clinical management experience with emphasis on care delivery, financial resources, team development, and performance management.

Preferred Experience
Prior management experience in Emergency Department preferred. 
Minimum License/Certifications Requirements
At time of hire Current Washington State Register Nurse license.
