Organizational Development Consultant

Location: Downey, CA
Job Description: 
This position exists to enhance organization performance through partnering with senior leaders in identifying new directions and implementing needed changes to achieve desired outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Anticipates and articulates emerging organizational needs.
  • Identifies areas of needed organizational change.
  • Provides expert organization development and systems analysis.
  • Provides expert organization advice and feedback to organization leaders.
  • Identifies strategies for organizational improvement and helps implement.
  • Manages change effectively and helps others to do so.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in organizational development consulting preferably to senior level management.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in large scale change management.
  • M.A. or M.B.A. with concentration in organizational development or related area.
License, Certification, Registration
  • N/A.

Additional Requirements:
  • Expert knowledge of organizational development, change management, leadership, organizational and group dynamics, motivation theory and organization design, strategies and business planning.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent management consultation skills and ability to manage client relationships.
  • Ability to work well with others with diverse backgrounds and at various organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in organizational development or related field preferred.
  • OE Development Certification preferred. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business operations, management practices and principles, and human resources management trends and practices preferred.
  • Health Care experience preferred.
