AB Senior Portfolio Specialist

Job description
The AB (Asset-Based) Portfolio Specialist manages a portfolio of asset-based structured loans in a variety of industries. The AB Portfolio Specialist is responsible for actively monitoring financial and collateral trends and recommending appropriate action. Responsibilities also include reviewing requests for loan modifications, analyzing financial performance, negotiating terms, drafting proposals, reviewing documents, and preparing recommendations for approval. Must be good at multi-tasking in order to meet the time deadlines of both the client and the bank. The AB Portfolio Specialist is an active member of the client team and interfaces directly with the client and participates in building the client relationship. Communicates frequently with legal counsel. Generally capable of handling the least sensitive accounts. Some travel required to meet with clients. Works closely with manager.
Required Skills:
  • 10+  years of general business experience in the finance industry or commercial/ABL lending both Credit and Sales
  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in finance, accounting, economics or business administration
  • Sound financial statement analytical skills
  • Basic Understanding of legal documentation
  • Must be detail focused and well organized
  • Proactive/confident communication skills (both verbal and written) to interact with senior management, clients, attorneys, etc
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced business environment with strong time management skills
  • Computer proficiency in Word and Excel with Power Point a plus
Desired Skills:
  • Some audit, underwriting or account management
  • Some basic understanding of legal documentation
