Senior Compensation Analyst

SUMMARY: 

Deliver on Tyson's design, communication and delivery of compensation programs to accelerate client growth and meeting of business objectives within the Prepared Foods BU. 

Help define compensation and recognition strategy and operationalization for clients to optimize business impact. Reports to Manager of Compensation for Prepared Foods BU and supports a client group encompassing executives, management and management support staff functions. 

The primary duties for this position are:
  • Advocate and counselor for compensation strategies and philosophies to accelerate the business;
  • Strong focus on compensation consulting (e.g. job evaluations, offers, restructuring, proactive data driven compensation planning and analytics);
  • Provide Compensation consulting to dynamic client groups and use optimal rewards solutions to drive business growth;
  • With oversight from the Manager of Compensation, serve as main point of contact for client groups on compensation matters, involving other CoEs as appropriate;
  • Simplify complex data and processes clearly and concisely for client groups;
  • Partner with Corporate Compensation in development of company-wide compensation strategies and pair with BU business needs and other HR strategies to develop business specific rewards strategies
Support Compensation Processes: Some specific responsibilities of this position are reviewing and editing job descriptions, conducting job evaluations, and compiling market data to provide competitive pay grades and ranges for management and management support jobs. This position is also responsible for helping administer the compensation policies and programs; preparing various wage and salary reports; helping complete compensation market surveys requests by third party consultants; examining compensation practices and compiling relevant statistics; conducting audits and analyzing positions in order to identify potential policy problems. Other responsibilities include preparing spreadsheets; running reports and data entry using SAP, Access and Excel; supporting compensation staff with requests for hourly population (as needed), calculating general and 'what-if' adjustments to assist managers in wage and salary administration, auditing and ensuring policy adherence; ensuring compliance (e.g. FLSA); assisting in year-end and other periodic compensation processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required

EXPERIENCE: 4 years of experience with 3 years of progressive compensation experience. Compensation consulting experience (external consultant experience a plus); Project management experience; Benefits and recognition experience a plus.

SPECIAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Relationship Building; Strong Analysis, Communication; Consulting; Strategic Thought Leadership; Business Impact Focus; Courage; People Leadership, Empowerment and Development (within own team and organizationally); Simplification; CCP (Comp), GRP (Global Rewards) or similar certification a plus

COMPUTER SKILLS: Requires standard computer and Microsoft skills. Advanced experience with Excel formulas, Access, analytical tools (e.g., Tableau/PowerBI), MarketPay and/or Workday is a plus
