Stroke and Trauma Program Research Coordinator

Location: Modesto, CA, United States
Position Overview: 
Reporting to the Stroke Program Coordinator, the Research Coordinator is responsible for all stroke and trauma research protocols.

  • Responsibilities include application, review, approval and evaluation of research protocols.
  • Works closely with the  Principle Investigator(s), Institutional Review Board and collaborates with stroke and trauma program key stakeholders to assure certification standards are met. 
  • Must maintain compliance with applicable policies, laws and regulations as it relates to research performed.
  • Ensures patient safety, rights and quality of care for hospital services rendered under research protocols.
  • Incorporates the patient experience in all aspects of patient care. 
  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience with clinical research projects, including involvement with protocols, budgeting and hospital billing.
  • Knowledge of human subjects regulations, pharmaceutical/device industry-sponsored trials, NIH trials and research billing compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as the ability to learn how to use new software as needed.
