Job Description
The Global Consultant Relations (GCR) team is part of the Institutional Client Business. GCR is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with global, regional and local consultants across all asset classes, as well as overseeing institutional new business proposals and data management. Primarily based in the US and UK, the group is also represented in Asia and Australia.
GCR is seeking a motivated professional to join our team. The position is open to candidates in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, or Boston. Responsibilities include:
  • Primarily managing and writing new business proposals (RFPs)
  • Training, guiding and reviewing work for junior team members
  • Developing and maintaining content used in new business and current client requests
  • Tracking outcomes of new business opportunities to determine sales trends
  • Contribute to developing/improving proposal resources, processes, tools, and templates
  • Participating in broader GCR and Institutional Client Business initiatives
This role offers the opportunity to develop into a leadership position. The successful candidate would:
  • Develop knowledge across the full range of BlackRock product and systems
  • Help shape firm and product narratives, drafting original content
  • Collaborate with all teams across the firm and interact with professionals at all levels
  • Advance project management, written and verbal communication, and client service skills
  • Cultivate management skills
  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience; preferably including new business proposal (RFP) writing and reviewing for institutional asset management, editing, collaborative writing, institutional marketing or project management
  • Understanding of institutional investment marketplace and interest in financial markets
  • BA/BS degree in related field; enrollment in CFA program a plus
