Director, Quality Assurance

Job Description
Our client is actively seeking an individual to lead the Quality Assurance Organization in a Director role.  We are seeking an individual who is a strategic thinker and can establish quality and reliability standards by studying product and consumer requirements with other members of management. This role will have a heavy focus on leadership and requires excellent communication skills. This position will have multiple direct reports that lead the Quality Assurance, Test Engineering and Automation and Business Requirements teams and will report to the Vice President Technical Operations.

The major focus of this role is:
  • Lead and direct the team to ensure all solutions and systems are delivered with high quality and testing platforms meet the needs of end users while adhering to West’s corporate policies, procedures and philosophies
  • Assist with the build and support of automated testing frameworks including continuous integration and deployment platforms
  • Ensure quality in platform and product deliverables
  • Partner strategically with internal and external clients to shape roadmaps
  • Deliver business value across distributed service delivery teams using Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery within a DevOps arena
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, MIS, or a related field is required
  • Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for education requirements
  • Minimum five years of increasingly responsible management experience in quality assurance, application development or computer science required
  • Experience with CI/CD, automation testing and Agile methodologies preferred
  • One program platform is required (RHEL, AIX, Windows)
  • One standard programming language is preferred (i.e., C, C++, SQL, PERL, etc.)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook required
