Field Service Technician - Air Quality
Position Summary:
The Air Quality Field Technician is responsible to handle the installation, repair and maintenance of IQAir’s commercial systems in existing refrigeration, heating and ventilation equipment.

  • Ability comprehend, problem-solve and explain the technical aspects of IQAir products
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure and to efficiently deal with multiple priorities simultaneously will be the key to success in this position
  • Performs installation and maintenance of products in a safe, efficient and timely manner that exceeds customer's expectations
  • Performs field assessment of customer needs
  • Provides preventative maintenance activities for customers by diagnosing equipment malfunction and any operating deficiency of the mechanical equipment to ensure quality work performance for the customer base
  • Determines and implements the exact needs of the customer based on product/project specifications
  • Effectively realizes issues of cost, time, quality and above all, client satisfaction
  • Successfully plans, outlines objectives and directs activities of the day’s project from start to completion while adhering specifically to scope, time and budget constraints
  • Applies critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and perform repairs as needed
  • Represents IQAir in a courteous, professional manner at all times
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally, and in written form through daily emails, reports and other correspondence
  • Recommends improvements to IQAir products, technical support and customer service
  • Identifies inefficiencies and recommends improvements to policies, processes and procedures
  • Drives company vehicle in a safe manner
  • Local travel and field work required; some jobs entail overnight stays
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned by management
  • Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in written form
  • HVAC Certification from accredited technical school or college
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience with commercial HVAC/R or related field
  • Knowledge of Lead & Asbestos
  • Knowledge of field safety practices
  • Good mechanical skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Safe driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Ability to pass Department of Justice LiveScan background check
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Outlook, Excel & Word
  • Ability to type 40 wpm
