Job Description:
The Revenue Cycle Management Analyst I is responsible for the reporting and analysis of A/R reporting in support of Patient Accounts departments. The Revenue Cycle Analyst is also responsible for the preparation and distribution of daily deposit information to the Patient Accounts Management Team. Applications utilized are: Word, Excel, Monarch, GPMS (including Custom Reporting), NextGen (including Memorized Reports), Brio, Crystal, Master Database, Financial Database, Power Point, and Access.
  • This position requires a minimum of two years’ analytical experience in medical billing.  A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. 
  • Must have advanced skills in Excel and Access. 
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and can manage large volumes of data. 
  • A strong knowledge of medical billing, particularly payer reimbursement and denial experience is required. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. 
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Responsible for distribution of Daily Deposit Report to Patient Accounts and Management team.
  • Distribute Deposit Report of current month’s deposits, including previous day’s Lockbox and EFT transactions, along with monthly projection of receipts by region.
  • Monitor daily notices from banks and regions regarding deposits and follow up on missing deposit information.
  • Monthly Reporting, Analysis, and Trending
  • Create and distribute the Regional Reporting Package via shared drive to the regions and satellite offices, as well as the VP of Patient Accounts.
  • Create and distribute assigned weekly, monthly, and quarterly Management reports for Patient Accounts.
  • Assist with completing Regional Report Cards.
  • All reports listed on Delegation of Reports (ex: Major Payer, Net Revenue, Top Cash Payers).
  • Monitor MDB / NextGen Holds.
  • Provide back-up coverage for the Senior Corp PA Revenue Cycle Analyst and assist Senior Corp PA Revenue Cycle Analyst with projects and assigned reports as needed.
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis for management team as requested.
  • Prepare reports as requested by regions and other departments.
  • Create and distribute CPT analysis reports for new acquisitions to regional analysts.
  • Create and distribute missed coding and Hold Code reports on a monthly basis.
  • Update personnel with new hires, terminations, and status changes for the PA Bonus Program.
  • Support and Training
  • Provide ongoing support to the Corporate PA (ex: Audit, PE, Training) and CLS departments.
  • Monitor and respond on a timely basis to report requests and other inquiries directed to the Corporate PA Reporting icon.
  • Assist and attend Monthly/Annual Regional Corp PA Revenue Cycle Analyst meeting.
  • Assist with Disaster Recovery procedures, including cutover testing annually.
  • Performs other job-related duties within the job scope as requested by Vice President of Patient Accounts
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and Company policy.
  • Any patient private health information (PHI) must not be divulged on any account except to payers that need the information in order to process the claim for payment.
