Sr. Cash Applications Analyst

Responsibilities: 
  • Perform Daily Cash Reconciliation for daily deposits for 3 Banks, 5 Lockboxes and 9 bank accounts
  • Perform manual entries against customer’s receivable balance; 
  • Create credit/debit memos to adjust the AR for chargebacks, refunds and to adjust cash that have been posted incorrectly
  • Perform analysis on variances identification and resolution between ledger and subledger
 
Systems:
  • Researches accounts, payment history and makes any necessary corrections
  • Responsible for working with High Radius Consultants and internal Systems Analyst in providing examples to improve cash application business rules within High Radius and identify issues and trends with Optical character recognition 
  • Responsible for assisting in the implementation of IT process improvements in Lockbox application and internal cash processes
 
Compliance:
  • Perform the SOX controls of Daily balancing of all Cash, Credit Card and e-Payment transactions
  • Ensures GAAP, SOX and Watts policies and procedures are adhered to and the ongoing operation, maintenance and controls of the AR system;
  • Daily Accounts Receivable Activity – cash posting of all incoming payments, balancing; reconciliations for both countries
  • Implement IT Process Improvements to all Cash Application Functions
  • Complete month end GL and/or account reconciliations and SOX reports by due date
  • Process customer’s request for refunds
  • Identifies and assists in implementation of process improvements for all Lockbox operations in US and Canada
  • Integrate additional responsibilities into job
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

 
Required Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 – 7 years of experience in cash application/accounts receivable/credit environment with high volume-based activity
  • 7+ years of experience using accounting software such as QAD, Oracle, SAP (or other large mainstream software)
  • 10+ years of experience working with several functional groups and different levels of employees throughout the organization to effectively and professionally achieve business results 
  • Advanced technical skills in Excel, Cash Application software, Financial ERPs
  • Strong Financial and Accounting Analytical skills
  • Strong Knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
  • Able to multitask and produce quality work within specified deadlines
  • Ability to follow applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external customer needs as needed
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly detailed oriented
  • Up to 20% travel, including international travel
