Systems Administrator - Active TS/SCI Security Clearance Required

Position Overview: 
This position provides a point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance in order to allow them to accomplish their mission. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests as well as installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all peripheral IT hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. The candidate will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level. Attention to detail in accounting for assets being deployed and worked on in critical support of the contracts supported Deskside Support environment.

  • Provides phone, in-person and email/remote support to users in the areas of e-mail, directories, standard Windows desktop applications and special customer applications
  • Field incoming help requests from end users via service requests but as required also telephone and e-mail in a courteous manner.
  • Document all pertinent end user identification information, including name, location, contact information, and nature of problem or issue.
  • Use logic and skills/training to properly perform hardware & software troubleshooting
  • Resolve issues quickly, and maintain a high level of end-user confidence
  • Configure and deploy computers and mobile devices at local office as well as other remote offices or remote job sites (when necessary)
  • Perform software and hardware upgrades & repairs to existing equipment using current processes and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Train users on the proper use of hardware, software, and mobile devices
  • Monitor Backups and take appropriate corrective action whenever necessary.
  • Monitor end user asset performance and take appropriate corrective action whenever necessary.
  • Assists in maintaining system security and data integrity.
  • Assigns passwords and monitors use of resources, backs up files as required and responds to management requests for information

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ year of experience or equivalent relevant experience 
  • Security+ Certification
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills 
  • Experience in overseeing numerous customers and work in a team environment to resolve IT related issues with hardware and software
  • Experience in assisting in maintaining system security and data integrity.
  • Experience in assigning passwords and monitors use of resources, backs up files as required and responds to management requests for information
  • Experience in supporting and maintaining desktops and servers in a team environment
  • Knowledge of the following ITSM platforms:
  • Remedy ITSM
  • ServiceNow
